Instructor Spotlight: Jes Trudel on the Ins & Outs of Getting an Agent

Jes Trudel is the instructor for the WriteForKids Session Get to YES! How to Land an Agent. She represents kidlit authors at The Rights Factory, and spent 15 years prior to that as a freelance editor and storytelling instructor.

Jes has taught workshops to thousands of people around the world and has been a guest presenter for SCBWI, the 12×12 Picture Book Challenge, Write For Kids, and TSNOTYAW podcast. She’s contributed to BoldFace, Children’s Book Insider, and the SCBWI blog.

Jes is the founder of WritingCommunity.ca and has organized numerous book-related events. She’s currently building her list of children’s authors, representing everything from board books through YA.
